Since June 2025, a major milestone has been reached for education in Burkina Faso. Écoles au Burkina is now online. Free. For everyone. Even without an internet connection. This bold and essential project is the result of three years of rigorous work, patience and total commitment to supporting education in Burkina Faso.

We knew we couldn’t settle for halfway measures. To ensure quality and long-term impact, every step was carefully designed. This included the legal creation of the association, identification of technical and financial partners, recruitment of a skilled administrative and teaching team, capacity building with experienced experts in educational content production, a rigorous teacher selection process through a public call for applications, and the creation of an engaged board of directors. Above all, we had one core mission in mind — to produce, produce and produce.

Today, Écoles au Burkina provides more than 3,000 lessons and exercises fully aligned with the national lower secondary curriculum. These resources are available free of charge and, most importantly, without the need for internet access. This ensures that every student, even in the most remote areas, can learn in the right conditions. Because for us, true equal opportunity starts with real access to knowledge.

This project was made possible thanks to the expertise of our parent organization, Écoles au Sénégal, which brings 13 years of experience in digital education and more than 8,000 online learning resources. Their technical and methodological support was key to building a strong and locally relevant platform.

Today, knowledge is free, and it is proudly Burkinabè. Through Écoles au Burkina, we aim to support, equip and inspire an entire generation. Because every student deserves the tools to succeed.
